German Guilt is Built on Fake News (Part 4)

The popular view is that the National Socialists in Germany were anti-intellectual, anti-science and anti-literature, based on the notorious book burnings in 1933. The popular view is wrong because it’s based on fake news. First, some context, as described in part four of this series, Jews around the world declared economic war on Germany in March of 1933. This, naturally, led to a reaction in Germany against Jews, Jewish thought and Jewish intellectuals. Among those targeted was Magnus Hirschfeld, a Jew, a homosexual and an early promoter of deviant sexuality. Wikipedia says this about him: An outspoken advocate for sexual minorities, Hirschfeld founded the Scientific Humanitarian Committee. Historian Dustin Goltz characterized…

Chernobyl is the Model for the Future

The nuclear plant disaster at Chernobyl in Ukraine resulted in the evacuation of more than 100,000 people from a 1,000 sq mile exclusion zone due to high levels of radiation. Besides those affected by acute radiation poisoning in sealing the plant, an estimated 9,000 to 16,000 people in Europe will suffer shortened life-spans. So, a bad thing, no? Well, not entirely. An article in the UK magazine, The Conversation, reprinted by the PBS Newshour, says “life is now thriving around Chernobyl. Populations of many plant and animal species are actually greater than they were before the disaster.” The author, Stuart Thompson, a senior lecturer in plant biochemistry at the University…

German Guilt is Based on Fake News (Part 3)

Read the headline, and the sub-head and then the date. This is March 24,1933 and the Daily Express is reporting a concerted effort by Jews around the world, including powerful Jewish financial interests, to boycott German goods with the aim of crippling the country’s already precarious economy. Its Special Political Correspondent correctly says they had, in effect “declared war” on Germany. He could hardly have missed the story because on March 12 the American Jewish congress announced a massive protest at Madison Square Gardens for March 27 and the day before, on March 23, 20,000 Jews protested at New York’s City Hall and rallies were staged outside the North German…

Germany Must be Rescued from History

A pervasive miasma of self-loathing is seeping across the West like poison gas; a feeling white people are responsible for all the troubles of the world. You can see evidence of it everywhere, particularly in Sweden, Norway and Germany where dark-skinned economic migrants are welcomed with open arms and legs. Eight years ago a Swedish comedy show, Grotesco, showed a miscegenation video with a white girl having sex with a black immigrant over the slogan “Mix it up!” It was supposed to be humour based on exaggeration. Today, American television has mixed couples in bed as a matter of course. Even pictures of happy white families are criticized as showing…

German Guilt is based on Fake News (Part 5)

You’re looking at a photo of the IG Farben BUNA Werke in Monowice on the outskirts of Oświęcim Poland taken during its construction in 1942. The name BUNA is derived from butadiene-based synthetic rubber and the chemical symbol for sodium (Na), a process of synthetic rubber production developed in Germany. This one factory, although part of a complex of industrial plants, was very large in its own right, covering two square miles, with scores of buildings involved in rubber, chemical and fuel production. The large building at centre left is the power plant which eventually had three prominent smoke stacks. At the height of production in 1944, the BUNA Werke employed…

German Guilt is based on Fake News (Part 2)

The conventional wisdom is that Germany adopted a policy of expansion by negotiation, bluster, and occupation in the 1930’s and that only timely action by British Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain slowed this policy of aggression. German Chancellor, Adolph Hitler, inadvertently reinforced this view by saying he was trying to bring German populations back to the Reich even though they were in other countries. A glance at the map (below) shows the true picture. Despite the fact it did not start WWI, and had not yet lost it, a starving Germany agreed to a disastrous peace treaty in 1919 that carved up the country like a butt of ham. Germany lost…

German Guilt is based on Fake News (Part 1)

It’s well known both sides use propaganda in wartime, what we now call ‘fake news.’ It’s also well known that “history is written by the victors” (Winston Churchill). So it really shouldn’t be a surprise after we won WWI and WWII, we used our own propaganda to point the finger of blame. This is why most of us—anyone schooled after 1939—have a clear idea Germany started both wars and is guilty of crimes against humanity. I’m going to deal with this in three parts, starting with WWI. Did Germany start it? Let’s look at the sequence of events and see where and when Germany enters the picture. 28 June 1914, Archduke…

Armed Violence is as Christian as the Pope

Most of our freedoms today are as a direct, or indirect, result of actions by the Christian church, specifically, by the Pope. At least two, and possibly all three, of the decisive battles fought by Europeans to defend our civilization were either organized, or supported, by the Vatican. First let’s look at the list: Frankish King Charles Martel defeated Abdul Rahman Al Ghafiqi at the battle of Tours in 732, John of Austria led the combined fleet of the Holy League against the Ottoman navy at the Battle of Lepanto in 1571, and Polish King John III Sobieski lifted the siege of Vienna in 1683. Charles’s victory stopped the northward…

Christ and God Had Armed Guards

This post begins an occasional series on religion. Many Canadians think they have to be pacifist to be good Christians. This isn’t so and they should understand why. The above image from the church in Gacé, Lower-Normandy, shows St. Peter sheathing his sword after defending the Lord on the night he was arrested on Gethsemane. It’s an odd grip he has on it, his thumb should be against the hilt, but no matter. The more interesting fact is that St. Peter is wearing it from a belt or baldric over his shoulder. This isn’t surprising since an early Roman short sword, an xiphos, copied from the Greeks, was between 18 and 22-inches long,…

    Liberals and NDP Erase History

Maxime Bernier, Leader of the People’s Party of Canada, says all the major political parties are in favour of curbing free speech. Here’s a note he sent out yesterday to his supporters. Attacks against free speech continued this week in Ottawa. And they come from all the other parties. It started when Andrew Scheer kicked out his MP Michael Cooper from the justice committee for speaking his mind. Then the Liberals and NDP voted to erase what he said from parliamentary records. They are rewriting history, just like in the novel 1984! The Conservatives did not even oppose this. Then all parties voted to remove the video feed when defenders…
