    German Guilt is Built on Fake News (Part 5)

    The popular view is that the National Socialists in Germany were anti-intellectual, anti-science and anti-literature, based on the┬ánotorious book burnings in 1933. The popular view is wrong because it’s based on fake news. First, some context, as described in part four of this series, Jews around the world declared economic war on Germany in March of 1933. This, naturally, led to a reaction in Germany against Jews, Jewish thought and Jewish intellectuals. Among those targeted was Magnus Hirschfeld, a Jew, a homosexual and an early promoter of deviant sexuality.
